Welcome to Troop 59's Website. We are excited to bring you this website as a means to improve planning, communication and--ultimately--the overall scouting experience for the Troop 59 Scouts of First Baptist Church Concord. We will be meeting at the Cove in Concord Park for hotdogs and canoeing. Each scout will need to bring their own Personal Floatation Device (PFD).<

PLC Meeting August 7th

PLC Meeting will be held on August 7^th at FBC at 1000 to 1200. This is mandatory that all PLC members attend. We will be having lunch at Taco Bell after the meeting.

Tsail Recreation Area Trip - August 14th - 15th

Troop 59 will going on an outing the weekend of August 14th – 15th. We will be camping at the Tsali Recreation Area in North Carolina's Nantahala National Forest. It is about 2 1/2 hours from Knoxville. It has a camping area with hot showers, a boat launch area so we will taking the troop canoes, and 42 miles of hiking/mountain biking trails. On Sunday we plan to do a rafting trip on the Nanatahala River. The rafting companies require a reservation with at least a deposit so we need to know who will be attending by July 28th.
